The first 48 hours before you leave

📅 DAY BEFORE

Home systems

• Confirm thermostat for vacancy (cooling / dehumidifying)

• Note HVAC, plumbing, or electrical quirks — tell us before you go

• Run seldom-used fixtures so traps are wet

• Check under sinks and around water heaters for drips

Security and access

• Confirm lockbox / garage / gate / condo access

• Leave vendor and HOA contacts

• Note vehicles left on site

​

Outside

• Store yard art and hoses

• Bring in cushions and small patio items

• Note irrigation settings and known wet spots or leaks

​

During Seasonal Departure we may secure or store lightweight outdoor patio pieces when safe and practical, and return them at Seasonal Opening. We do not move indoor furniture, large or heavy items, or packed/stored household goods.

📅 DEPARTURE DAY

• Empty unwanted perishables

• Confirm fridge on/off plans

• Check dishwasher, washer, and ice maker for leftover water / drip points

• Latch windows and doors

• Confirm security system and who has access codes

• Send PHW your final departure note (and return window if known)
